Updated the checkers game. You can now choose to play against another human or against the computer. You can choose a difficulty mode for the computer, which all use alpha-beta pruning. Easy mode uses a look-ahead depth of 2 moves. Medium uses 4. And Hard uses 6. But each difficulty level also has a chance of choosing a valid move at random. This chance is 25% for Easy mode, 15% for Medium, and 5% for Hard. Also, the rules are American, so you must capture when possible, and your turn ends if you promote to king. I have even more big ideas for this game.

Added the beginnings of a checkers game to the Games section. I have big plans for this. Over the past week, my interest in checkers was reignited by an old Spyro game: Season of Flame. I own Season of Ice (and the awesome strategy guide), and I really like it, so I figured I should check out its counterpart. It has a minigame called Dragon Draughts (the British name for checkers), which I thought looked nice. So I've been playing checkers against bots, and I finally beat an expert-level one, after losing many times to triple-captures.

Ladies and gentlemen, the theater is now open. *walks away quickly to laugh*

Shamelessly added a random-fact-about-me generator to the About section.

I added some of my favorite sites to the Links page. I also added icons for a few and actually recreated the Bitsy cat by hand, so the color doesn't quite match the original. I haven't decided on the best names for the links on the left side of the home page, but I think they're fine placeholders for now. Something I probably won't change are their icons. They're from Zebrini, which I consider to be the best game I've made. You can download it for free here (Please play it if you have a computer). And while we're talking about it, the GIFs of those three guys on the home page have differing frame-counts and delays between frames, so I've seen all of them blink at the same time before. It's pretty rare, though. Not sure the LCM... No, I won't hurt you. I do own a van, though.

The site is up and running, and I just now finished the About section. I'm glad to see some real progress instead of just tossing ideas around in my head. With the skeleton in place, I can get into more of a factory mindset and roll out some links to other sites I like. And maybe I can throw in some ratings for various things (mostly games). Everyone likes a good list.
